I can't tell you how happy it makes me to see my own family in pictures. As you can imagine, I am rarely in photos, so it's so awesome to see us all together. I have to give props to our friend, John Stapleton, for capturing these images (their family photos are in the next post). I will cherish these forever.
These are some good people right here. So in love and so happy – and parents of two of the sweetest and funniest kids I know. These images bring such a smile to my face. Enjoy:
I wish there was a way I could stream "Low Rider" or "No More Mr. Nice Guy" with this post. I had some fun goofing around today with some of the fine men of 22squared, who are sprouting 'staches this month to raise awareness and funds for Movember. ("With their Mo's, these men raise vital awareness and funds for men's health issues, specifically prostate and testicular cancer initiatives.") Please consider donating to their team by clicking (here). Hurry, there are only 3 days left in November!
I love all of these, but my personal fave might be the shot of Justin Oh ("I'm too busy for this photo shoot. I gotta check my email.") Bringing up the rear, Mike Grindell's "salute" tied with David Yeend's it's-been-a-long-day face. Enjoy:
It was such an honor to work with this super smart and incredibly driven group of people over the past several weeks (and across one state border.) Sorting through over 3,000 images has sort of consumed me lately, but totally worth it to get some of these moments on camera. * 22squared is the sixth largest independent advertising agency in the United States. Its headquarters are located in Atlanta, GA with a second office in Tampa, FL. The agency has several long-standing Fortune 500 clients as well as a collection of travel, retail, casual dining and financial services clients. *wiki
It's been a while since I held a session in the Virginia Highlands/Morningside area. It can be a challenging location with a lot of driving around (a total non-issue with this very cooperative 6-year old.) I love how these turned out and I can't tell you what a smile these images bring to my face! Enjoy:
She does resemble Alice in Wonderland a bit, as my friend Amelia so eloquently put it.
So flattered this family requested I photograph them again this year. As you can see, they've added another adorable little gal to their clan. These images make me so happy. Enjoy:
I asked this darling couple if they would be willing to model for me for a scouting shoot this weekend and was psyched when they agreed. I'm so happy they didn't find it odd when I said, "Do you think you both could wear that exact outfit you wore in your Instagram post from a few weeks ago?" We had some adventures on our shoot today. First, we had to scamper off train tracks when we heard an approaching whistle. Then, we watched in awe as two cops searched an old train car we just hopped out of. Whoopsie.
Thanks for being such good sports and models, you two!
The lovely folks at Watershed on Peachtree recently invited me back to photograph some of their spectacular brunch dishes, which are now all I can think about. Their signature fried chicken and biscuits are only available on Wednesday nights on a first-come, first-served basis. Pictured from top to bottom: Huevos Rancheros and Chilaquiles – eggs any style, chorizo, salsa ranchera Chicken Fried Poached Eggs – wild mushroom fricassee, black truffle gravy Seafood Mélange – farm egg, benton’s bacon, gulf shrimp, scallops, crawfish and crabmeat Sausage Gravy & Biscuit – bacon jam, fine herbs Coconut Pancakes – coconut syrup Fried Chicken and Biscuits
Our little Siena at about 2 and half years. Love this kid.
I recently had the privilege of shooting for the newly opened and beautifully designed Watershed on Peachtree in Buckhead. After touring the restaurant space and capturing a few images of Executive Chef Joe Truex and Chef de Cuisine Julia Leroy, they prepared a selection of amazing dishes for me to photograph (insert drool). Honest to Pete, I had to pause during editing to phone them for reservations. Be sure to stop in for brunch, lunch, or dinner (or belly up to their amazing bar for some cocktails and bar snacks). I just know you will love it.
Gosh, we made a cute kid. Seriously. Cute. I can't belieeeeeve she will be Two Years Old next week! The time seriously flew by. FLEW. If you love Siena's outfit as much as I do, you can recreate it yourself in a jiffy. I made her tutu in no time (tutorial here) and her darling tee shirt came from Modern Frills, an amazing custom shirt shop. Check them out here.
